Several Goat Consulting team members attended the Amazon Accelerate 2024 conference in Seattle last week. This was a great experience for us to learn about new and exciting programs across merchandising, fulfillment, advertising, reporting, and the Amazon customer experience. We were able to meet with Amazon employees and from our Seller Central partner networks from the Agency New Seller Success Team, Veeqo, and Buy with Prime. A major theme from the conference is that Amazon is continuing to invest in technology to enable Amazon sellers and partners to grow and reach customers in new and unique ways. The conference left us invigorated to apply new best practices and product features for our clients. Here is a recap of some of the new programs and features announced at Amazon Accelerate 2024.
Fully-Managed Supply Chain by Amazon
Amazon announced the fully-managed Supply Chain by Amazon program that simplifies the end-to-end logistics of getting inventory from your manufacturer to the end customer. Amazon can fully automate the process from getting inventory to Amazon Warehouse and Distribution (AWD) to Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) and delivery to the end customer. This will help sellers take out the difficult and complicated tasks and simplify the process of shipping and fulfillment to allow sellers to focus on new product development and marketing.
Project Amelia Generative AI Assistant
Amazon is launching a Seller Central generative AI tool to help sellers and the Goat Consulting enable growth for clients by answering questions and assisting with tasks within the Amazon selling platform. This will help with brainstorming generalize questions like how to prepare for the holiday season, pull simple reporting like how many units were sold in a given time frame, and guide through specific inventory questions. We are excited to try this out for clients to be more effective in our day to day operations.
Amazon Ads Video Generator
Last year at Amazon Accelerator, Amazon announced the Amazon Ads Image Generator tool. This year, the big Amazon Ads announcement is the launch of Video Generator. This tool helps seller create motion in your images to create new content. If video content is not available to you, this is a great tool to test and try out new video content in your Amazon Ads.
New Reporting Tools
Amazon announced a host of new reporting tools to help you better understand the customer journey from. These analytics tool will help you identify opportunities to increase brand awareness, customer loyalty, and repeat purchases. A few of these new reports that will be launched include:
Customer Journey Analytics
The customer journey analytics tool will report on the different stages of the customer journey from brand awareness to consideration, to intent and purchase. This will help you spot trends and pain points with actionable items to address customers at each stage.
Enhanced Audience Tailoring
Enhanced Audience Tailoring will help sellers create promotions directed towards more specific customer cohorts. This is an enhancement and expansion of the Brand Tailored Promotions tool.
Business Planner
The Business Planner tool allows sellers to input goals and create an action plan to achieve those goals. Looking at sales growth and profitability, the business planner tool will compile data across sales, traffic, and product benchmarking tools to have a dashboard on how to achieve those goals.
